A SME of mine, not to downplay his wisdom, is no more than whiner. My mother often spoke the addage: 'if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all' And I wholeheartedly think that this should be held true. I know, now, that this is a simplification of the world and to deem something as *nice* or *not* is far from simple. Point aside, the role of a complainer is not one to go without.

There is value in being able to point out flaws. No system is perfect, and the majority of systems are held together with mud and duct-tape. But this raises the question, what is 'good enough' and who gets to decide when something *IS* a problem. Yes, the SME would be one of those people. But I find myself asking, why is everything broken? Why are you always 'very concerned'? Is there not anything of value to find in the system you behold?

Thus, I cite the childrens movie Ratatouille "...the work of a critic is easy." Which emboldens the former and less famous JFK's quote of chosing to do things "not because they are easy, but because they are hard."
<br><br>
So, to you cynics, pessimists, and misanthropes: Do what is hard and find the good, create something new, and frown a little less today. :)
